Bestway: Building the Best Inflatable Hot Tubs
Bestway is an international hot tub brand founded by Sir Anwar Pervez, with headquarters in London, Great Britain. The company came from humble beginnings to be one of the largest inflatable manufacturers of hot tubs in the world.
Bestway launched its first hot tub in 1994 and continues to innovate and improve its range, offering several sizes and capacities of inflatable hot tubs to suit any location. Inflatable tubs are easy to set up and easy to use, giving you’re the same experience as a built-in model, but with an affordable price tag.
The latest addition to the range, the “Paris” model, brings innovative lighting and plenty of massage jets for a thrilling hot tub experience. The Paris is one of the more affordable spas in the range and a nice step-down from the larger Monaco and Miami models.
The Paris is the ideal model for couples, seating up to four adults comfortably and six at a squeeze. With its LED lighting, you can set up a romantic mood or kick things into party mode to suit your entertainment needs. The kids will enjoy it too, offering enough space for six children. The tub inflates in less than ten minutes, and it only requires one adult for setup.
Bestway is the sister company of Saluspa, and both brands offer similar hot tubs and comparative pricing levels. However, the Paris model is unique to the Bestway range and an affordable alternative to the larger models offered by both brands.
Let’s unpack everything you need to know about the Lay Z Spa Paris.
Lay Z Spa Paris: Key Features
Compact Size
The Paris model from Lazy Spa has a compact footprint measuring 77-inches in diameter. That makes it suitable for setting up on a patio or deck or inside the home. With enough space to seat four adults or six children, it’s a compact spa offering you plenty of fun and relaxation.
Fast Setup
Connect the Bestway Paris to the dual-action pump, and the spa inflates in less than 10-minutes. When you want to take it down, deflating it is just as easy. The sides of the spa come with convenient handles to help you move it around the decks, patio, or room.
RGB Lighting Effects
One of the standout features of the Lay Z Spa Paris is its RGB lighting system. Set the mood on your deck or patio with seven different colors to suit any décor or create an ambiance in any setting.
Fast Heating and Advance Dual-Action Pump Technology
The Bestway Paris comes with the same high-quality materials and design as all the other models in the range. You also get the same dual-action pump/filter combo that allows you to inflate the spa in minutes. The pump heats the water fast, with a max operating temperature of 104F.
Lay Z Spa Paris – Construction Overview
Bestway spas make some of the best at-home inflatable hot tubs available. Unlike other brands that end up leaking after a season of use, Bestway products last a lifetime. You get a 6-month warranty on the spa and lid and a 12-month warranty on the filter/pump unit.
One of the best parts about owning a hot tub is the attention you get from friends. Everyone will want to come round for cocktails and a soak at your house. Hot tubs are fantastic for entertaining, but they’re suitable for use any day of the week.
Did you arrive home from a hard day at the office? Start your Paris spa, and the water will be the perfect temperature for a soak by the time you grab a towel.
Lay Z Spa Paris – Pump and Heater
The Lay Z Spa Paris model comes with the same dual-action pump and filter system included with all Bestway models. This unit is the core of the system, offering you a fast inflation time of under 10-minutes.
The pump- also acts as the water filter, cleaning the water of all debris while sterilizing it against bacteria, fungi, and other pathogens. The pump comes with a convenient circular control panel, offering you temperature adjustment, locking mode, color cycling, and a timer. The display shows the current water temperature and operating model for easy reference before you step into the tub.
Lay Z Spa Paris – Sidewalls and Materials
The Lay Z Spa series all feature the same sturdy design, with sidewalls that don’t collapse under your weight. Bestway manufacturers the Paris with an I-Bean construction that supports the sidewalls. There’s no chance of the walls collapsing if your kids sit on them or use them to get into the tub.
The internal DuraPlus construction of the sidewalls gives the spa the typical hot tub look without your guests thinking it’s just another inflatable pool. The sidewalls feature construction with a PVC and triple-layer polyester mesh design for rugged durability on any surface and in all conditions.
The materials form a plush, soft seat on the floor and sides of the spa, with built-in cup holders for your drinks. The only gripe we have with the Paris is that it doesn’t come with headrests included with the spa.
The control unit on the Lay Z Spa Paris lets you heat the water to 104F, and with the lid on the spa, it’s easy to regulate the temperature. Typically if you heat the spa from cold, it could take up to 10-hours for the water to reach temperature.
Lay Z Spa Paris – Cover and Floor Pad
However, with the lid on and the pump operating, it’s easy for the spa to maintain temperature and get piping hot in a few minutes.
The leatheroid cover keeps debris and dust out of your hot tub while it’s not in use. The cover attaches to four clips around the edge of the tub. The built-in insulation air chamber keeps debris out while locking in the temperature to prevent heat loss.
The spa also comes with an inflatable floor mat, protecting the bottom of the Paris while providing extra comfort for your hot tub experience.
The Lay Z Spa Paris also features a compact footprint and portable design. The tub’s sides have material handles, making it easy to move the tub around the patio or deck or out onto the lawn when you want to empty it.
Lay Z Spa Paris – Jets and RGB Lighting
The Lay Z Spa Paris model comes with 87-air jets positioned strategically around the interior of the spa. You can control the bubbler function through the control panel, with a massage function to add to the relaxing experience of soaking in your Paris.
Along with the massaging action of the bubbles., the Paris includes an RGB lighting system to suit your mood. There are seven different colors, and you can set the tub to cycle through each color or set it on the one you like.
The lighting function is a great addition to the tub, giving you an added visual dynamic that makes it great for entertaining.
Lay Z Spa Paris – Accessories
When you purchase your Lay Z Spa Paris model, you get accessories included with your purchase to enhance your hot tub experience.
Bestway includes a chemical floater to keep the water sterile and clean, as well as a set of two filter replacement cartridges. You also get a setup instruction and maintenance DVD included with your purchase.
Lay Z Spa also includes a remote, giving you full control over the lighting, bubbles, and water temperature without the need to step out of the tub.
We also opted for the Lay Z Spa floor protector and the drink holder which clips to the side of the spa and allows you to place 2 drinks and some snacks in the center.
Unboxing the Lay Z Spa Paris
When you receive your Bestway Lay Z Spa Paris, you’ll find the following components during unboxing.
- Lay Z Spa Paris inflatable hot tub
- Inflatable floor mat
- Leatheroid cover
- Pump and filter unit.
- Remote control unit
- Filter cartridges and a chemical floater.
Lay Z Spa Paris – User-Friendly Setup
The best part about the Bestway range of hot tubs, including the Paris model, is the user-friendly setup. Building a permanent hot tub on your deck is an expensive exercise, and you could end up spending more than $12,000 on the unit, depending on the capacity, design, and finishes.
With the Lay Z Spa Paris, you get a convenient, compact, and mobile setup. You can set it up anywhere inside or outside your home or take it with you on vacation or to a friend’s house. Inflating the tub is easy and takes less than 10-minutes.
Best of all, there’s no using manual pumps and wearing out your arms trying to inflate the tub. The dual pump/filter unit fills the tub fast, giving you a hassle-free setup that’s ready for use in minutes. It will take you longer to fill the tub with water than it will to inflate it.
You don’t need any specialist knowledge of tools for the setup and it was pretty easy to get setup – our only gripe was the instruction manual could be better, we ended watching this YouTube video which made things a lot clearer.
Setting Up Your Lay Z Spa Paris – A Step-by-Step Guide
When you receive your Lay Z Spa Paris, you’ll use the following step-by-step guide for setting it up anywhere inside or outside the home.
- Step 1 – Position the inflatable ground mat over the area where you want your tub.
- Step 2 – Lay out the Lay Z Spa Paris onto the mat and connect the filter/pump unit.
- Step 3 – Turn on the pump, and the tub inflates in less than 10-minutes.
- Step 5 – Make sure there is at least two to three feet of clearance around all sides.
- Step 6 – Fill the tub using your garden hose. You’ll see the max-fill line on the interior sidewall.
- Step 7 – Turn on the rapid heating system and let the water reach its temperature.
- Step 8 – It takes up to 24-hours for the tub to reach temperature with the lid off, or 10-hours with it on.
The Lazy Z Spa Paris holds 250-gallons of water when full. Ensure you don’t fill over the max water line, or the water will rise further when you get into the tub, spilling onto the floor.
It’s important to note that when the Lay Z Spa Paris is full, it weighs around 2,700-lbs. Therefore, make sure that your deck has the strength to support the weight.

Lay Z Spa Paris FAQs
Can I leave the pump for my Lay Z Spa Paris exposed to the rain?
Typically, exposure to rain won’t cause any issues with your pump unit. However, if there’s an electrical storm with lighting, remove the stoppers on the pump and bring it indoors for protection.
How long does it take the Lay Z Spa Paris to reach temperature?
If you fill your Lay Z Spa Paris with cold water from the garden hose, it could take up to 24-hours for the tub to reach temperature. Placing the leatheroid cover on the tub while its heating prevents heat loss into the air, and you might reduce the heating time by half, depending on the location of your tub and whether it’s indoors or outdoors.
When do I change the filters in my Lay Z Spa Paris?
It depends on your usage of the spa. However, Bestway recommends that you change out the filter every two to four weeks. If you don’t change the filters regularly, particulate matter and debris will get into the water, and you’ll need to change the water sooner.
How often do I need to change the water in my Lay Z Spa Paris?
It depends on how often you use the spa and how you maintain the hot tub. If you’re changing the filters and the ChemConnect as required and using the lid, you can keep using the same water indefinitely. However, we recommend emptying and refilling every four to six months just to be on the safe side.
What happens if I accidentally puncture my Lay-Z-Spa?
If you accidentally puncture your Lay Z Spa Paris, mix some dishwashing liquid in half a gallon of water. Pour the water over the sides of the tub, and you should see bubbles forming on the puncture point. Bestway sells puncture repair patches, and you can order them online.
Where can I purchase my Lay Z Spa Paris?
We recommend picking up your Lay Z Spa Paris from Amazon, the world’s largest e-tailer. Amazon gives you the best prices, and you get fast delivery, with buyer protection on your order.
