WEN Products

Remember WEN?

We've been designing and distributing high-quality and affordable power tools for decades. Founded by Nick Anton back in 1951, WEN originally made its mark by helping bring tools and electricity together (putting the power into power tools). Our research and development team played a vital role in helping to develop a variety of common everyday tools such as the chainsaw, the electric soldering gun, the electric jigsaw, the electric engraver, and the knife and wet wheel sharpeners. WEN even pioneered random orbital technology – the technology seen in most polishers, waxers, and buffers today that gives cars everywhere the streak-free shine they deserve.

Helping you get the job done since 1951.

Since then, our expertise has expanded to encompass a wide variety of products, including drill presses, lathes, bench grinders, nailers, miter saws, hand tools, generators, and cordless power tools, to name a few. By 2001, only 50 years after our humble beginnings, we had already sold over 50 million consumer units. By 2021, we had sold nearly 80 million. Today, WEN's headquarters can be found in West Dundee, Illinois. Our goal is to help woodworkers, DIYers, and artisans across the world execute their wildest imaginations.

Product Description

Remember when you could build whatever you wanted? Nail nails and fasten fasteners with the WEN 18-Gauge 2-Inch Pneumatic Brad Nailer. Fire 18-gauge brads anywhere from 3/8 to 2 inches in length. Our spring-loaded magazine makes for quick and easy reloads with enough space to hold up to 106 nails. The lightweight body combined with the rubber-lined handle limit fatigue during long days on the job. Operating pressure ranges from 60 to 115 PSI with the nailer consuming 0.028 CFM of air per nail at 88 PSI. The 1/4-inch NPT air inlet allows for quick connection to your favorite air compressor. Adjust the firing depth of the nailer with the simple turn of the depth adjustment wheel. Check the number of remaining nails through the gauge window mounted on the side of the magazine. Unlatch the front nose to clear jams quickly and easily. Adjustable air exhaust lets users direct the pneumatic air output in any direction while the powder-coated finish prevents wear and tear to the nailer’s body. And, because it’s a WEN product, your nailer comes backed by a two-year warranty and a friendly customer help line all to make sure you remember WEN.

Great Gun, Great Value, I Tested It

Great Gun, Great Value, I Tested It
This is my 2nd WEN product (first was a chainsaw) and I'm impressed with both.I use brad nails a lot and this is my 4th brad nailer having gone through 2 Porter Cables and 1 Hitachi. So I use them a lot and have good experience to compare. I did some rapid fire aggressive testing on this nailer and its a keeper. Read on for my impressions. -- NO JAMS and CONSISTENT DEPTH: I did a rapid fire test sing 1.5" brad nails into a 2" thick fir. See the video. The gun never jammed and the nails drove in consistently. -- ALL METAL NAIL SLIDE: Why is this important you ask? Doing the same test as in the video on a Hitachi brad nailer, I blew out the bottom of the slide when a nail jammed. See the attached photo showing the section of the slide blown out during a jam. I mention this because the Hitachi had a plastic nail slide and the Wen is an all metal nail slide. I feel much better with the WEN just removing a jam vs destroying the nailer. -- 360 ROTATABLE EXHAUST: Its important to direct the air away from you and the work piece. See the attached picture. Both for comfort and to keep excess exhaust oil (yes some of us put a few too many drop in now and again) from getting on a work piece. A few day ago with another nailer without adjustable exhaust I had to cover the head with a rag to keep oily air off the work piece. So this feature is important and I happy the WEN built it in. -- NAILS LOADED WINDOW: I love this feature. I quick glance allows me to see the nails remaining. -- SOFT RUBBER HANDLE: The handle is very soft and make for a comfortable hold and protects your hand from the occasional jarring impact when nailing. -- TIP LEAKED AIR: Not all is perfect. When I attached my WEN to the air hose it leaked air profusely out the connection. The WEN comes with a steel inlet. I swapped it out for a brass inlet with a subtly different shape (see the attached picture comparing the WEN to the replacement) and the connection was then tight with no air leaks. Conclusion: Great nail gun and a great value. The only minor issue was an air leak at the tip and thats not one that would prevent be from providing a 5 star review. The only think I cant review is longevity and Ill report back after some use. Buy it, you cant go wrong!
