Yes, it requires some physical effort and may result in sore shoulders. But this is better than messing with gas, cords, batteries and cheap powered edgers.
I gave it a four rather than a five because the handle could be better quality wood.
Joseph Bentley Traditional Garden Tools Stainless Steel Hand Held Weeding Knife is a life changing tool.
I edged the driveway and removed grass from cement cracks with this weed knife. Then removed AIR POTATOES from citrus.
I also bought a, Truper 32100 Tru Tough Rotary Lawn Edger with Dual Wheel and Ash Handle, 48-Inch
This Rotary Lawn Edger needs some practice and wearing in. I have not yet used my bench grinder on it sharpen the back angle of the shearing plate, yet have done two lawns without too much difficulty, though straight out the box is seemed I might shatter the stick shoving too hard.
The Joseph Bentley Weed Knife was essential to clearing out weeds and tall grass I got into it from my own yard. And has helped again.
Surprisingly the Weed Knife and Rotary tool combine very well for lawn results better than a professional Gas Edger!
The negative is that I look forward to wearing out this four foot handle. Currently you bend over and erase the edge with repeated strokes.
It needs a six foot Ash wood mopping stick to be bolted into it to save your back so that it feel more like raking gravel, than erasing roots.
I used my shovel to do clean up of the walk and drive way,
Bond 2060 7-Inch to 22-Inch Adjustable Steel Rake seem like a useful rake but I have not used it yet.
I bought it to use for grass clipping. But it became unneeded with a Troy-Bilt.com $19 price Xtreme Mulcher blade upgrade.
I look forward to seeing if a well made flex rake may change my preference for stiff landscaping rakes.
Joseph Bentley looking at your quality garden rake.
Had I known the grass clippings would be correct with an Xtreme blade from Troy-Bilt.com, I'd have bought their rake instead.
I have a very small lawn, and used this for my front sidewalk, walkway, and driveway. My lawn is thick fescue, and it was a lot of work trying to get through it. This also did not cut through a lot of the Bermuda wire grass. Maybe the blades were dull? It was very difficult to use in some areas, and did not not always give me clean lines.
Overall, this product works, but I cannot justify the purchase. Nothing broke or bent, it is built solid. Relatively stable and easy to use, unless you have thick grass. Additionally, there were areas where the lawn was lower/higher next to the concrete sidewalk and driveway. It performed better when the lawn was lower than higher, and did not perform well at all where the lawn was a bit higher. If you have ideal conditions (flat surface, lawn is lower than hard surfaces) than this product may work well for you. I thought it was going to work great, but it was far too much work for such a small area, and I did not get the results I wanted. For reference, I am a young in shape 29 year old who enjoys manual yard work, but this was just too much.

Whoever delivered it just chucked on porch. Plain sight from sidewalk. Didn’t try to hide in behind the chair to the right or out of sight and was to busy to even ring the door bell ! Unreal ! And we wonder why so many parcels go missing. Use some common sense !!!!!!!!!!
