Forget the gym just buy this!
Can't make it to the gym? Just grab this little tool! It dies a great job at edging the yard but you'll definitely break a sweat. The key is to go back and forth multiple times moving forward slightly as you continue edging. Don't try to push it in one solid forward movement just go back and forth over an area then move forward. The first few times are the hardest because you're making the groove. After a few times it gets much easier and gets done much faster. It does put a good amount of dirt and grass on the sidewalk, but what edger doesn't? The more I use it the more it almost seems like it's sharpening itself. The movement of the spines going across the stationary blades seems to actually scrape the metal on the stationary blade off slowly creating a sharper edge. The more I use it the happier I am that I bought it. Saves money on an expensive edger and gas. Plus it gives you a workout while making your yard look good.I added pictures to compare the rotary edger to a gas powered edger. The first picture is the results from the rotary edger on my yard, and the second was my neighbors yard after a gas edger was used. As you can see, there really isn't much of a difference at all. As stated above, it's hard to get the groove started the first couple of times, but now I can edge my long driveway, around my mailbox, sidewalk, and back porch in about 5 minutes.
