The taste that rats and mice just die for!

For over 30 years, Just One Bite products have been recognized as “The taste rats and house mice just die for!” Trusted by farmers and homeowners alike, Just One Bite products have protected millions of people, pets, and properties from the destructive threat of rodents. Initially introduced as an alternative to warfarin-based rat and mouse baits, Just One Bite rat and mouse bait was a pelleted bromadiolone formula available in bright yellow place packs. Today, the familiar yellow packaging houses two different, 100% EPA-compliant, formulas for effective elimination of rats and house mice; Just One Bite II in bars, pellets and chunks and Just One Bite EX in blocks, pellets and bait stations. Just One Bite II continues to use bromadiolone as its active ingredient, whereas Just One Bite EX uses bromethalin, a non-anticoagulant type of bait.

In 2012, the line was expanded with the launch of Rodentex rodenticides. Rodentex products use the active ingredient, diphacinone, that is highly effective in controlling mice, rats, and meadow voles.

Very convenient packets
Edit / Update 8/13/2020: I just received a new order of these and as you can see in the attached pictures, they changed the packaging. The old package had a flip-up lid and a plastic handle. It was also slightly taller. It was much easier to carry and when placing the poison I would take the used packet an put it back in the container so I could dispose of it when the job was done. I often use 20 or more packets at a time. The flip-top lid opens and closes very easily and is secure. The new package has a lid that is secured on all 4 sides making it very difficult to open, you have to pry up at least 2 sides and then pull hard. Then, as you are using it, you either have to snap it shut or it will fall off, which means that as you go to grab another packet, you have to pry it open again.Same great product but definitely, in my opinion, a big downgrade on the packaging. I'm glad I have my last container and I will just dump the packets from the new container into the old one. By the time that falls apart, I hope there will be enough customer complaints that they will bring back the old container. We have what are called Harris Antelope squirrels here in AZ, they look like chipmunks and are often confused with them. While cute as heck, they also burrow underground and in particular, under our driveway which is made of pavers or bricks. When the squirrels tunnel and go under the driveway, their tunnels cause the pavers to collapse. Unfortunately, the cute squirrels must go.I've tried various methods of traps, I prefer to trap instead of poison them, but they're smart and the traps seem to work for a while but the squirrels learn them and they sit idle after a while.I've also used chunks, made by Farnam as well (the same company that makes these pellets) and they worked well but for the smaller tunnels, which means most of the tunnels, the chunks remain partially exposed to other creatures.I can walk along the property carrying this pail of packets, and empty the pellets into the tunnel openings. The pellets flow nicely into the tunnels and all the poison is confined to the tunnel and not exposed to other animals. The packets will usually be just about the right size to fill the tunnel. Because we have so many tunnels, I will use 20 - 30 of these at a time.It usually takes about a week, but we will notice a decrease in activity shortly after applying. They are resilient creatures and we'll need a few applications a season. This size pail seems to be perfect for our needs. One benefit is that when using chunks, placing the chunks means touching the product to put it in place. With these, I just tear a small opening in the bag, pour it down the tunnel, and place the empty bag in the pail. No need for gloves (though it's still advisable to wash your hands after using these) and at the end, I just take the crumpled up empty bags out of the bucket and toss them in the garbage.
